In the late 70's and early 80's I was in the broadcast engineering field part time. As I went on to other endeavors I missed the engineering challenge and therefore can neither confirm or deny the existence of various pirate radio operations in the intervening years.

Just as the blogs have done for to print media the internet has given us a wonderful opportunity to break the stranglehold that commercial broadcasters have held on the electronic media in the past.  Welcome to the world of the "narrowcast".

Looking at the options of pod casting and on demand content, I have selected live streaming content as the way to go. At this time I am in the experimental stages and so will be on and off the air sporadically. You may catch anything from dead air to music to vocal level checks as I get things up and running.

The overall program is called "Pops & Clicks". Why? It had nothing to do with that famous Boston orchestra. The bulk of my content is disco and top 40 supplied for promotion by the major record labels in my radio years. It is original analog vinyl, 12", LP and 45 formats (not seen for many years now) played on vintage equipment with all it's pops and clicks! By necessity there will be a smattering of digitally produced media mixed in, sorry  :(       can't be avoided. I will be using analog reel to reel also :)      ~I wonder how many of my younger readers have no idea what I'm talking about?~

I will post updates on the project here along with schedules when they become feasible.

In the meantime here is the link to my audio stream. It's Windows Media, you may just catch me on:
